Our Open Day takes place onsite on Tuesday 4th March 2025, 9am - 4pm. GTI welcomes both school leavers and mature learners who wish to retrain or up-skill. REASONS TO APPLY
GTI is the largest provider of Further Education in the West of Ireland. The college is centrally located where you get the best of all that Galway has to offer.

With over 50 certified programmes to choose from, each programme has its own unique set of modules which lead to QQI certification & the opportunity to gain additional certification.

Applied Learning is at the core of what we do at GTI. It means that as much as possible, you apply your classroom theory to real life situations through our salons, recording & radio studios, along with a range of hands-on projects.

Through our Student Council you can voice your opinions on college matters and get involved in charitable and fun societies. Our sporting success is evident with national cup and soccer tournament wins.

At GTI we strive to have the most up to date facilities to support our students learning. These include our state-of-the-art iMac & PC Suites, Hair & Beauty Salons, Recording Studio, Dog Grooming Studio, Nursing and Healthcare skills lab and much more.

GTI has experience in providing support for practical issues, learning difficulties, physical disabilities as well as personal counselling and career guidance. GTI’s Student Services Team are here to support you during your time at GTI.

GTI offers students the opportunity to apply for funded Erasmus+ European work placements for between 2-4 weeks. Participants will develop key cultural & vocational skills, along with gaining certification and expanding your CV.
|
Use your QQI Award on graduating from GTI to progress to Further & Higher Education using the Higher Education Links Scheme (HELS), apprenticeships and employment.
