At GTI, we believe in equality of access and participation for all students. We provide a range of supports and services for students applying to GTI attending full-time within the Institute. At GTI, we provide a comprehensive careers service which supports you in CAO, UCAS and Progression to the workforce. There are a range of supports ranging from guest speakers, Careers & Industry Talks, Careers Information sessions, workshops, one to one guidance, CV and Interview Skills provided to all students in GTI attending full-time or part-time courses within the Institute. At GTI, the health and wellbeing of our students is of the utmost priority and we utilise a whole institute approach were you can speak to tutors or link in with the student support team. We organise various speakers throughout the academic year to talk about a range of topics from welfare, health, wellbeing and safety of our students. There is also a counselling service within the institute and an option of referral to additional supports and counselling outside of the institute. There is a student council so that the voice of the students is captured and that we are meeting the needs of the students. The GTI Student Council is made up of representatives from every course in the Institute. It's a fantastic opportunity to let your voice be heard. The Council expresses the views and opinions of all students on various matters concerning the welfare of the student body. Two members of the Student Council will be elected as representatives on the Board of Management. The GTI Student Council, Management and Staff of GTI endeavour to continue developing students’ services and facilities to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
